PARIS， Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Robert Marchand， a 105-year-old French rider， on Wednesday beat his own hour record on the opened cycling track， according to local report.
Marchand rode 22.547 kilometers at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines velodrome outside Paris， setting a record in the senior hour endurance test.
"It's okay. I had no pain in the legs but in my arms because I have rheumatism，" he told BFMTV news channel.
"I have not seen the label of the last ten minutes， otherwise I would have gone little faster，" he added.
The French cyclist has already set two records after the age of 100 in 2012 and 2014.
Singer-turned-artist Ai Jing will hold a solo exhibition at the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana Museum in Milan starting from June 5 as the third stop on her tour exhibition after Beijing (2012) and Shanghai (2014).
Curated by Chen Lüsheng Tarvarius Moore Jersey , vice director of the National Museum of China, the exhibition, Dialogue, will feature a series of Ai's works created based on subjects including industry, nature, and modern technology.
According to Ai's studio, the exhibition constitutes a dialogue with several great masters' works selected from the museum's masterpiece collection, and stresses the link between East and West in terms of culture and religion.
One of these dialogues, Ai's audio installation To Da Vinci will be placed side by side with Leonardo Da Vinci's Portrait of a Musician. The work consists of a giant and complicated industrial music box with numerous gears that plays a melody when turned.
Ai created the melody based on the unclear musical notations in the painting and to show her respect for this great master.
The exhibition will mark the first time the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana Museum will hold an exhibition for a contemporary artist, and is also the first time Ai has held a solo exhibition in the Western Hemisphere.
Originally a 400-year-old library, the museum boasts numerous masterpieces from the Renaissance, including 1,119 drafts that came from the hand of Da Vinci himself.
The exhibition is scheduled to run until September 5.
Secluded amongst a string of islands stretched far and beyond the reaches of the state Florida itself. In fact Key West, the Florida Keys most distant island, is only 90 miles from Cuba. On the gulf side you can go offshore for miles, stop your vessel and stand in knee deep calm as glass water and not see shore anywhere around you. One of the main reasons for my travels down to the Florida Keys is for Lobster Sport Season. The locals call it bug hunting. It only last for a weekend and the place is packed. If your into hunting for lobster, this is quite an exciting affair. Don't forget your snorkelmask, tickle stick and net! The kind of Lobster you'll find down there are the Spiny Lobster type, which have no pinchers and can get quite large. Spiny Lobster are larger than most Main Lobsters in cases. Don't forget, recreational harvesters are required to possess a valid Florida Saltwater Fishing License with a current crawfish stamp. Consult a local tackle shop for exemptions to licensing needs. Licenses are available through local convenient stores, tax collectors, many tackle shops and marine supply stores.
What does it cost to travel to the Keys? I'm finally getting to that. The Florida Keys is by far the most awesome tropical vacation spot for any novice fisherman, skin diver, or just plain traveler. But watch your pocket book! The Florida Keys can be quite costly. My wife and I shopped around extensively for the best lodging rates and by far the best we found was a small place right off the highway called Big Pine Key Motel. They had the lowest rates and the biggest rooms of every "affordable" place to stay down there which were around $70 and up! And I'm talking crazy up! Some establishments were asking over $400. If you've got the pocketbook, I would highly recommend Little Palm Island. It's one of the top 10 resorts in the world and the only way you can get to it is by boat. The Big Pine Key Motel is just a 20 minute drive from Key West and is surrounded by dive shops, fishing charters and great places to get your grub on.
I'm going to leave you with a warning. The Florida Keys is protected by many environmental laws that cater to endangered species. If you do any hiking around keep a watchful eye out for the poison wood. It looks as innocent as an oak tree and 10 times more dangerous than poison ivy. The locals can't cut it down because it grows a fruit that an endangered species of bird eats.
